Neutral lye

Neutral lys is a special designed pretreatment of wood, that is applied before oil or lacquer treatment.

Neutral Lye stops the yellowing process effectively. By treatment with lye the wood gets the great demanded white patina, where the natural structure of the wood is very clear

Can be treated with lacquer, oil or soap.

Use:

For new, untreated and grinded wood on floors, walls, ceilings, doors, furniture – basically everywhere you want to keep or refresh the wood, for it to become light and natural. To be used on all kind of conifer and deciduous wood, like spruce, pine, oak, ash, beech etc.

Directions for use:

1: The wood must be clean and dry. Dirty wood surfaces must be cleaned carefully with wood cleaner

2: The can to be shaken carefully before and during coverage.

3: The lye to be put on with a nylon brush or roller in an equal layer. Always in the length of the wood.

4: When the wood is dry, you can retreat it, if you want an even lighter floor.

5: Floor boards, furniture etc must be retreated, for the wood to become a more effective protection against dirt and liquid attacks.

After treatment:

When the wood is dry, you could – with advantages - give the wood an extra robust and all natural after treatment with floor soap or floor oil in natural or white, depending on how light you want your floor to be. You could also use all sort of watery Floor varnishes for the after treatment. If the wood fibers have arisen, the floor must be grinded.
